I’ve seen a few of these posts going round such as Olivia from What Olivia Did’s Anti Bucket List and I couldn’t resist jumping on the bandwagon and creating one of my own. After all, 2015 has been a pretty eventful year for me, overcoming huge obstacles and making very difficult life decisions! One thing I learnt from my therapist this year was to try and turn every negative into a positive, so thats exactly what I intend to do, not that the whole years been bad – far from it actually! My 2015 Losing three months I pretty much lost the first three months of my year, I was signed off with stress and anxiety from my job as a Buying Assistant and kind of sleep walked through the weeks without realising how much time I had been mentally absent for. I guess it took me that amount of time to realise that actually my work friends were really anything but friends and had caused me to be the way I was. I think that realisation and the decision to not give a damn about them and what they thought anymore was what gave me the strength to realise that it wasn’t me. So at the age of 25 I packed it all in and decided to take some time to get back to who I used to be and start again! Starting a new career I went for a few interviews in a similar field whilst freelancing as a stylist. It got to the point that I was pretty much working full time styling, something I’d never considered being an actual career because it was far too much fun to be a real job. Then I thought, hey, life’s about more than money and if I can do a job where I laugh to the point of tears every day then why the hell not? Creating a blog On my quest to become a freelance stylist I decided to make a website to show what I did and although the thought cringed me out, the obvious choice was a blog. I never knew how much fun I would’ve had blogging and what great friends I’d have made! Otherwise I’d have done it years ago! 1 year anniversary with my Boyfriend My first real boyfriend and hopefully my last! I don’t generally like being soppy in public but I honestly cannot understand/ am so grateful to him for standing by my through my anxiety – or as I like to call it my bitch months. I was a nightmare, and I wouldn’t have blamed him if he hadn’t stuck around, but I truly feel that having gone through such a difficult time together has given us a true understanding of one another. Basically he’s my rock. Seeing my sister get married Me being the youngest and her being the oldest with over a decades age gap, me and my sister don’t always see eye to eye but seeing her get married in Greece was such a lovely moment. It was…

Black X White X Grey // OOTD

*Jacket : Fashion Bazaar // Jumper : Zara // Jeans : Topshop // Bag : Zara // Boots : Next Another Monochrome OOTD I know I’m pretty predictable when it comes to my OOTD posts but I’m kinda hoping you like that about me and perhaps that’s why you stick around? This one is kind of different in the fact that usually I’m wearing a white top with a little black jacket, and this time I’ve found a new love for a white jacket. I know it’s not exactly ground breaking but what can I say? I’m a fan. I got this grey Zara jumper in the Black Friday sales because the shape really reminded me of my old faithful Rust Jumper. Probably one of my favourite buys in 2015 and this is giving it a bit of a rest as my second favourite! (actually I just remembered my shearling coat – okay 2015 was a good shopping year!) The Biker Jacket Loveee this jacket. It’s a biker jacket but its not leather, something I hadn’t really considered before? And I love the colour, kind of an off white? The texture as well is super nice and I think when you’re wearing a monochrome OOTD it has to be about the texture. Personally I think it looks pretty great with my grey jumper. I already know I’ll be living in it this summer, though over a chunky knit will do just fine for now. The Saddle Bag Did I mention I’m in love? I’d been looking at the other colour way of this bag for way longer than I’d like to admit and when I saw it in black my mind was made up! I haven’t put it down since I got it and since I can’t afford the real Chloe this will do just fine for now! New In // Saint Laurent

So this Christmas I was well and truly spoilt. Like, rotten. I had to show you this because to me, high end is Zara, I’m not usually a big spender and have never actually owned anything designer before. On Christmas day when I peeled back the wrapping to see those magical words ‘Saint Laurent’ I genuinely could not believe my eyes. Don’t get me wrong I’d hinted I wanted a card holder but I was thinking more Reiss or Whistles! I’m actually scared to use it and know as my first ever designer piece I will always treasure it! I just can’t stop looking at it in all of it’s minimal perfectness! Sorry if anyone reads this post as bragging I just wanted to share my love for this piece! Let me know if anyone would be interested in a post about what I got for Christmas! And don’t forget to leave me a comment with what your favourite piece you got was! I should mention that my second favourite thing was a unicorn money box so I’m not just talking bit ticket items here!! Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’! We all know its the easiest way to stay up to date without clogging up your inbox!

How to Style a Skirt for Winter . . and Still be …

*Jumper : Study 34// Skirt : Primark // Bag : Zara // Boots : Next  Before I even start this post can we talk about this door and how it’s totally #doorgoals? That blue colour totally compliments my outfit and I’m gutted you can’t see how cute the wreath is! From now on if I see a cute door or something I want as my background for a post I’m totally going to take a picture of it for the post as a stand alone image so you know what I’m on about – and yes I am aware of the amount of times I’ve said totally so far! How to Style a Skirt for Winter No, I haven’t gone mad. Firstly, lurking under those boots (boots of course are essential for skirt wearing in the Winter) is a key secret for keeping warm, and secondly, who said skirts are only for the summer or when you’re too numb from all the prossecco to care? I used to be one of those girls, once autumn hit you wouldn’t catch me with my legs out till the spring again (unless of course I had a prossecco blanket on) but now, I’ve got the key, I’ve got the secret. Sleep Socks Secretly lurking under those boots is a big pair of fluffy socks keeping my toes nice and toasty. A wise man once told me that you loose you’re hear through your feet and head so boots with fluffy socks are a must and if it works, hey through a hat on! Boots, The Longer the Better Hallelujah to the current over the knee boot trend, it’s basically like wearing trousers but with a teensy gap so you can look cute in your skirt but still be nice and warm. Just imagine the layers of socks you could put under those bad boys? The opportunities are endless! if, like me, you’re not really sold on the over the knee trend (no offence if you are I just can’t seem to pull it off!) then boots like these ones from Next are ideal. They’re not quite an ankle boot but they kind of are. I feel like the extra few inches make a hell of a difference! Chunky Knits are you’re Best Friend You need to finish the look off with a chunky knit. Personally I love the chunky knit/skirt look and my wardrobe is overflowing with jumpers (don’t tell my boyfriend I said that, I will never admit to this I always need more) so it’s ideal for me! If you’ve got a super warm jumper on and your feet are snug then you’re pretty much covered! if you’re not a fan of chunky knits (who even are you?!) then get a really well made knit that’s going to lock in the warm and do the same job! This one from Study 34 is hand made (you even get a super cute card saying who knitted it, can you get any more personal?!) which…
