Fringing X Leather Jacket // Part 1

*Jacket : Your Shores // Jumper : Zara (Old) // Jeans : Next // Boots : H&M (Old) // *Bag : Pauls Boutique  Leather Jacket Love If you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you’ll be fully aware of my appreciation for the leather jacket. So it’ll come as no surprise that when outerwear company Your Shores got in contact with me about collaborating for their look book, I pretty much snatched their hands off. As part of the project I got to pick three, yes three, of my favourite styles from the website and I thought I’d share them with you guys, because, well why not? My first choice was the Sandra Fringe Leather Jacket, I’ve always wanted a fringed leather jacket but never found one with just the right amount of fringe. There’s a fine line people! You can probably see by this photo how soft the jacket is!! I think thats the one thing I love about real leather jackets, what’s the point in investing if it looks and feels the same as one from Primark? Can you also make an exception here guys for the fact that it was raining whilst we shot this and I was freezing cold which is why my hands are red and my hair ain’t looking too great! This jumper was 100% my favourite last year and I kind of forgot about it and it was pushed to the back of my wardrobe for the past few months. Sooo I decided to give it a new lease of life, I do still love it but I remember what was so annoying about it. . the goddamn sleeves! The slits look so cool in photos (very aware you can’t see them in this post) but they hang so low and as someone accident prone and clumsy, they are always covered in water or spaghetti sauce. . basically any liquid i’ve walked past, eaten or even looked at. I’m starting to wear these jeans more than my Topshop ones which are so ripped, I know my Mum is praying for the day I throw them out but I kind of love how ripped they are? P.s love the way I talk about my Mum as if I’m 17 and I’m actually 25, I will never grow up and face reality!! Seen as a lot of what I’m wearing here is sold out I’ve made a little widget so you can shop the post – so thoughtful of me! Shop The Look What do you guys think to the pictures? I’ve been working with another photographer and I think they’re amazing! Check out Kirk’s Instagram here and website here! As always, make sure you follow me on Bloglovin’, I’ve got exciting things planned for this year!

2016 Goals // Exciting Plans for Me and LSM

2016 Goals // Exciting Plans for Me and LSM

2016 New Years Resolutions -Yoga I’ve started Adriene from Yoga with Adriene‘s 30 day challenge. I got into Yoga a bit last year but I find it really hard to stick to excersizing and it was a half hour drive away which meant I just stopped going when my friend wasn’t there to make me feel guilty and drag me along! This is something I can do from home which definitely appeals to the lazy side of me and I feel like if I do it for 30 days then it will become a habit. After January I plan on doing it at least twice a week! -Me time This is a selfish one but aren’t all resolutions kinda selfish? Anyway, I spend a lot and I mean a lot of time on my phone and I’m constantly ‘working’ or plugged into social media. Therefore this year I plan to make time for me, I guess the yoga is classed as me time as well but I’m talking about indulging and relaxing. I don’t remember the last time I sat down and read a magazine, I’ve got a subscription to ELLE and I’ve got no less than 10 copies sat in the corner of my room begging to be read. So each evening I plan to take some time, even if it’s just half an hour, to read a magazine, paint my nails, do a face mask and just switch off. -Read more When I was younger I used to read so much, now I’m lucky if I get through a couple of books a year and I pretty much only read on holidays. From now on I’m going to try and read for half an hour at least before bed each evening! Reading is such a good way of relaxing and getting to sleep and not to mention great for your writing and imagination which, as a blogger can only be a good thing right? 2016 Blogging Goals -Youtube This year I’m doing it! Youtube, watch out there’s a new kid on the block. . well there will be. . if I stop being a big girls blouse and finally sit down and do it. The thing is I’ve got a list of excuses and reasons I can’t do it yet as long as my arm and really all I need to do is start. I will this year, I promise, you have my word! Any one familiar with youtube I would love to hear your thoughts on best ways to edit and if i need some kind of special light for it?! Or is that just for the super youtube pros? Also if you’re just a reader of the blog I would love to hear if you’d be interested in a youtube channel, firstly, would you even watch it? Secondly, what kind of videos would you like to see?! -Bloglovin This year I need to crack Bloglovin, I seriously do not get it! Or should I say i don’t get how to get myself out…

My Fashion Favourites of 2015

My Fashion Favourites of 2015

So seen as yesterday I did a super personal post ‘2015 // The year in review’ I thought I would do a fashion-y yearly review as well. This is a fashion blog after all. So I’ve picked out my top pieces, some of them new and some of them old, that I wear so often that it’s actually becoming slightly embarrassing. 2015 Fashion Favourites Zara Shearling Coat I feel like this coat was some kind of movement between bloggers. Obviously the original one we were all lusting after was the Acne coat, but Zara did their usual incredible job of making an impeccable dupe. I love the fact that it’s super relaxed and cosy but still looks smart and pretty much makes any outfit look good. If I had to pick one piece in my wardrobe to save in a fire I’m pretty sure this would be it! You can see the coat in action in this post here! Forever 21 Suede coat So this only really just made it in and it’s kind of not really a 2015 favourite – more like I know for a FACT that it’ll be a 2016 favourite. My uh-mazing boyfriend got me this for Christmas and I am obsessed, if I’ve left the house (granted thats not been often) I’ve worn this coat. It’s real suede and the colour is that beautiful rust that I am loving at the moment, plus the tailored style makes any outfit look smart! Forever 21 Denim Shirt This was another Forever 21 purchase – get me, never usually shop there but clearly I should go in more often! I’ve been after the perfect denim shirt for a while. You know when you’ve got a picture in your head of what you want without knowing if said item actually exists let alone where you could buy it? Well i found it, a denim shirt that was heavy denim none of this chambray rubbish, and not fitted, all of the denim shirt’s I see seem to be western style which just doesn’t float my boat. Give me something baggy over something fitted any day! In fact I pretty much wore this whole outfit in this double denim look! Zara Saddle Bag I actually brought this when I was hungover and panic brought an outfit for a meal I was going to (I know what your thinking, who buys a bag for a meal, as I said I was severely hungover). Anyway, I’d been looking at the pink colour way for a while but wasn’t sure I’d use it so I guess when I saw the black one my mind was made up! I love having a small bag as a cross body I feel like it adds more to the outfit than a shoulder bag? It also saves me from filling it with junk which is what I’m prone to doing. As I’m obsessed with this bag at the moment it’s been in so many posts like this one and this one! L’intervalle  Snake Heels Loveeee Snake, I’ve only…

2015 // The Year in Review

2015 // The Year in Review

I’ve seen a few of these posts going round such as Olivia from What Olivia Did’s Anti Bucket List and I couldn’t resist jumping on the bandwagon and creating one of my own. After all, 2015 has been a pretty eventful year for me, overcoming huge obstacles and making very difficult life decisions! One thing I learnt from my therapist this year was to try and turn every negative into a positive, so thats exactly what I intend to do, not that the whole years been bad – far from it actually! My 2015 Losing three months I pretty much lost the first three months of my year, I was signed off with stress and anxiety from my job as a Buying Assistant and kind of sleep walked through the weeks without realising how much time I had been mentally absent for. I guess it took me that amount of time to realise that actually my work friends were really anything but friends and had caused me to be the way I was. I think that realisation and the decision to not give a damn about them and what they thought anymore was what gave me the strength to realise that it wasn’t me. So at the age of 25 I packed it all in and decided to take some time to get back to who I used to be and start again! Starting a new career I went for a few interviews in a similar field whilst freelancing as a stylist. It got to the point that I was pretty much working full time styling, something I’d never considered being an actual career because it was far too much fun to be a real job. Then I thought, hey, life’s about more than money and if I can do a job where I laugh to the point of tears every day then why the hell not? Creating a blog On my quest to become a freelance stylist I decided to make a website to show what I did and although the thought cringed me out, the obvious choice was a blog. I never knew how much fun I would’ve had blogging and what great friends I’d have made! Otherwise I’d have done it years ago! 1 year anniversary with my Boyfriend My first real boyfriend and hopefully my last! I don’t generally like being soppy in public but I honestly cannot understand/ am so grateful to him for standing by my through my anxiety – or as I like to call it my bitch months. I was a nightmare, and I wouldn’t have blamed him if he hadn’t stuck around, but I truly feel that having gone through such a difficult time together has given us a true understanding of one another. Basically he’s my rock. Seeing my sister get married Me being the youngest and her being the oldest with over a decades age gap, me and my sister don’t always see eye to eye but seeing her get married in Greece was such a lovely moment. It was…
