Autumn Winter Inspiration

I am absolutely loving the weather change because we all know that with a weather change, comes a wardrobe change. Nothing drastic will be happening in my wardrobe colour wise ( as you can tell from my inspirational photos!!) but I’m all about texture when it comes to autumn winter. I’m super excited about suede this season, I’m currently shopping around for a beautiful suede coat, slash saving my pennies for a beautiful suede coat. I’m sure if you’ve been following my blog you’ll know how much I love my suede biker so I can tell I’ll get so much wear out of a coat version! I love this look with the knitted two piece, I don’t really know if I can pull it off to be honest. I’m pretty safe when it comes to the bottom half and tend to stick to jeans or a mini skirt. I’m definitely going to try and branch out though! Maybe this season will be the time for me!This is definitely my favourite board I put together, is anyone else loving the texture of these teddy bear coats? It’s like a chicer version of the fur coat. The cut of this one is incredible and I’m pretty sure a Chloe Faye bag would finish the look off perfectly.. Jack if you’re reading this it would make a great Christmas present! What are your favourite pieces this Autumn Winter? Have you got your eye on anything yet? 1-Vila Knitted Cape Jumper – Asos | 2-Striped Suede Skirt – Topshop | 3-V-Back Sweater Dress – Forever 21 | 4-Double Breasted Tailored Long Wool Coat Mauve – Missguided | 5-Knitted Roll Neck Jumper Grey – Missguided | 6-Chunky Jumper With High Neck And Moving Rib – Asos | 7-Teddy Shearling Wool Coat Camel – Missguided | 8-Waffle Knit Turtleneck Sweater – Forever 21 | 9-Textured Boxy Overcoat – Forever 21 | 10-River Island Striped Roll Neck Jumper – Asos | 11-Cocoon Coat in Borg – Asos | 12-Saddle Bag – Next

How to get a good night’s sleep

How to get a good night’s sleep

I’ve never really had a great relationship with sleep. I’ve alway’s struggled to drift off right from when I was a small child to recently when I went through a period of severe anxiety, I found it almost impossible! Over time I’ve found a few effective ways of helping to relax and in my mind, when you’re relaxed your more likely to get to sleep right? Anyway, I thought I would share some of my tips for a more relaxing and peaceful night’s sleep! Clean Bedding Obviously this is the most obvious one out there, nothing makes you sleep like a baby than the scent of freshly washed sheets. Wrapped up in a crispy cocoon of washing powder will send anyone into a deep sleep! Lavender My Mum brought me this amazing spray from Avon called Sleep Serenity, I’m sure there are other variations out there but I find this one amazing. It’s not too lavender-y and is supposed to (and does in my opinion) help you drift off as the scent helps to relax you. Write a Journal Now this is something I always cringe at, who writes a journal for one and secondly, surely it’s just asking for trouble? Your Mum will definitely read it and you’re so going to get grounded! Anyway, seen as I’m 25 years old now and my Mum can’t ground me I guess I’m safe to start one! Someone at work told me about this technique which I’ve recently started and it really helps. My main problem with getting to sleep is that I have so much wizzing round in my head so every night now, even if I don’t have anything major to report on I write at least 3 pages and just empty my head onto the paper. It really helps to just clear your mind, which brings me on to the next point. Write Lists I’m a huge fan of lists, there’s nothing quite like the pleasure you get from ticking off something on a list when you’ve completed the task! I also find that writing lists is a good way of keeping things out of your mind, you’re not having to constantly remember 100,000 things and by writing a list you can prioritise things and feel like you’re life’s in order! Herbal Tea I love drinking tea and it has been known for me to have up to 5 cups a day, I know it’s disgusting but I honestly have a problem. Anyway, I try not to drink tea after 3pm – ish so that it doesn’t keep me awake (this goes for you coffee drinkers as well!) The one thing I miss is the cup of tea before bed, I feel like having a nice warm cup of tea helps you to get all cosy and sleepy. This is when I turn to herbal teas, my favourite is definitely peppermint but camomile is supposed to be the best for relaxing you if you can bear the taste! Anything caffine…

3 ways to wear . . Oversized Jumper

3 ways to wear . . Oversized Jumper

I know I do quite a lot of outfit posts but I don’t really do anything like this often, why not you ask? I’m asking myself the same question! Personally, I love reading things like this because it really helps me to decide on if I want something. I’m not really an impulse shopping kinda girl, well that’s a lie, I’m a buy it on impulse then take it all back kinda girl. Yep, one of those, if you work in a shop you hate me, I know it and I’m ok with it. Anyway I’ve gone completely off point, what I was trying to say was that I love reading these posts because it shows me how much I need the piece because it’s so versatile! So when I was given the task of styling this oversized jumper three different ways I was only too happy to take on the challenge. *Jumper : STALF | Jeans : Topshop | Scarf : Zara | Sandals : M&S Old *Jumper : STALF | Jeans : Primark | *Boots : Linzi Shoes | Bag : Zara *Jumper : STALF | Skirt : Primark | *Shoes : Next Old | Hat : H&M The Outfit with the white jeans is definitely my favourite, I got the boots this week from the lovely girls at Linzi Shoes. I’ve worn them twice and already there are three people who’ve said they’re buying them so if you want them then I’d hurry. They’re a really simple style but I love the colour and they’re just the right height I’d say! When I received the jumper from STALF I was shocked to discover it was fleece, read the product description? who? me? Anyway, the thought of wearing fleece again brought up memories of my sister taunting “someone call the fleece police” and I started to wonder how the hell can anyone make fleece look good. Anyway, I clearly had nothing to worry about as this is no ordinary fleece jumper. It’s so wearable, It literally goes with anything, never did I think I would see the day that I would be happy to wear fleece in public! Which looks your favourite?! I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Killer Heels

Killer Heels

Can we just take a moment to fully appreciate how sassy these heels are? I don’t feel truly worthy to show them in all of their sassy glory, however, I love them, they’re mine so I rocked them the only way I know how! Jeans and a top, I know, I know what you’re thinking, why didn’t I dress up for a night out in them? I did! Honestly guys, I make casual look dressed up. This is a dressed up look for me, I love jeans and heels on a night out and if I’m deadly honest, those nights out don’t come round all that often! I may only be 25 and in my prime but I love a good night in or dinner and wine, I’m definitely more about the food and wine than the vodka and clubs! Anyway. I’ve gone off on one! I love these wax effect jeans from Topshop, they’re perfect for when you want to look a bit dressier but you also want to wear jeans! I’ve also gone the extra mile with my top (from my Stockholm Mini Haul) and tied a not in it to give my look more shape and a dressier feel. And of course the bag that everyone loves! Jacket : Asos | Top : Mango | Jeans : Topshop | *Shoes : SoleWish | Bag : Zara I’m not sure if these are a boot or a sandal? I mean I’d say open toe boot but there’s probably more holes than there is material! They’ve got a kind of bee-hive esque pattern which I love and I always prefer a pair of boots that come a big higher than my ankle because it’s so much more flattering! Sole Wish have definitely hit the sassy nail on the head with this set of killer heels! The only problem I had with these shoes is my toes. Now I’ve got toes that are potentially longer than some peoples fingers, and that is not an exaggeration! Unfortunately due to the big holes and the unnatural length of my toes they were out of control! If you scroll back up to the full length shots you can see them breaking free, I’m pretty sure if I wore these on a night out I’d skin my toes!! I’m so sad to say they’re going to have to go back on the shelf until I figure out a way of keeping my toes on a leash! Anyone got any tips I would be very appreciative!!! How would you dress these up? Do you prefer the laid back look like me?! I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Triangl Bikini Review

Triangl Bikini Review

I’ve been meaning to do this post since I came back from holiday but somehow I’ve only just got round to it, pretty helpful to get a bikini review at the end of September hey?! Well, to be fair a Triangl bikini is definitely an investment and those lucky few who are jetting off to warmer climates for some winter sun can take this advice on board! I know there’s a lot of umming and arring when buying a bikini that exceeds £20 (well there is for me anyway!) so I thought it I’d do a little Triangl bikini review! Firstly, I’m lucky enough to own two of these beauties, the Farrah in Wild Thing which is a triangle shaped bikini with crochet detailing, and the Brigitte in in the summertime, which is a bralet style also with crochet detailing. Fit I found the fit really good, the material is neoprene which unless you’ve been living under a hole and have never heard of Triangl before I’m pretty sure you’ll be aware of! This means that your bottoms don’t fall down when you get out of the pool and there’s no gaping, usually when I swim in a bikini the water goes in and my top goes down. I found it really comfortable to wear and because of the nature of the fabric it’s a good snug fit. It’s worth mentioning that the straps are adjustable as well which helps to get a good fit. Sizing I guess the first thing to mention is that I am lucky if I fill a 34A cup on a good day, I have zero boobs. If you’re blessed by the god of tits you may not find this post helpful! I’m generally an 8/10 depending on where I shop and how I want it to fit, of course with a bikini, I want a tight fit! The sizing is XXS – XL, I’m not sure what they all stand for but I know XS is 32A and S is 34B so I guess the rest goes up/ down in a similar way. They also have S+ and S++ for those of you who are a smaller size but have bigger boobs which I think’s quite good. To be honest I was told that there was an online chat service for sizing and I didn’t even hesitate before using it! The girls at Triangl are honestly so lovely and helpful, I just gave them my bra size and they told me which would be best. I had the issue that I’m a 34A so I either compromised in the cup or the waist, because I got the Farrah first I went for the S, with it being a triangle style I thought it wouldn’t matter if the cup was a little big. It fitted so well, there was definitely room for me to go smaller but I wanted to be on the safe side. The next time I was a bit more adventurous, don’t get me wrong I…
