Hair Tutorial | How I do my hair

Hair Tutorial - Fashion Blogger Sinead Crowe

So as you guys are always giving me such incredible compliments on my hair and asking about how I do it, I thought I would do a post dedicated to it! I’ve got a little 1 minute hair tutorial on the technique and tools I use to dry my hair which is really the key part as once it’s dry the only styling I use is in products and brushing! I’ve also gone into the products I use on my hair which I only recently realised the importance of!

So before I started being generously sent products to try by PR’s, I’ve always just used whatever was in the shower on my hair. Be it mens shampoo, all in one or something fancy my Mum picked up at the salon. If it’s there I’m using it. Anyway, in the past few months I’ve tried numerous different shampoo and conditioner combos and it wasn’t until I tried the Kerastase Nutritive range that I really found something that made me check I had it with me before I got in the shower. Yes, I can confirm that I am now a shampoo snob and refuse to use anything else.

Since I started using Kerastase I’ve noticed three major changes in my hair. The styles last longer, it really holds a style which is also why I’ve started to actually dry my hair into a style because it really makes it worth taking that extra half an hour. It’s shinier, healthier, stronger and just generally better. Seriously guys, as I said before, the hair compliments have been rolling in thick and fast recently! Finally, it lasts longer. I now only wash my hair twice a week, twice a week people. I’m actually that person who forgets when they last washed their hair! I never even knew that shampoo made a different with things like that, I always assumed it was down to your hair type and “training” your hair but no, shampoo does, I promise you! (BTW this isn’t sponsored by Kerastase I just love these products!!)

I also now use two styling products in my hair though they’re not shown in the hair tutorial. I use the Kerastase Elixir Ultime on my hair when it’s damp to help condition my hair, and also every morning after I brush it to add that extra shine. Finally I use the Tresseme Mousse before I dry my hair to help with styling and also to maintain the style once I’ve dried it. I think when blow drying your hair, a good mousse is essential! I don’t often use hair spray because I love the natural un done look but I do always use mousse!

I think until you really use them it’s hard to realise the worth of them!
