How to Nail Christmas Gifting

How to Nail Christmas Gifting

Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb Perfume | Melinda Maria Gold Rings | Elcy Clothing Alexa Bralette | Candy Flower Cat Ears | Sigma 3DHD Kabuki Brush | Chanel Compact Mirror | Madotta Marble Phone Case | Urban Watch Pastel Pink | Sigma 3DHD Precision Brush | So if like me you’ve only just realised that it’s exactly a month tomorrow until Christmas.. shut the front.. I know! Then I’m here to save your ass.. kinda. I’ve put together a fail safe gifting guide – but only for women so I’m sorry about that but I can’t be good at everything now can I? If I’m honest I had far too much fun making this and it may or may not be a silent shout out (hi Mum) about what I myself would love to open on Christmas day. Can’t blame a girl for trying! Anyway, if you don’t know what to get your Mum, sister or girlfriend then I’ve got you covered! Dressing Gown | How to be Parisian Book | Diptyque Candle | Anya Hindmarch Letter I don’t know anyone who wouldn’t appreciate a fluffy, white, towelling robe on Christmas day? I’m pretty sure it’s a failsafe gift, I’ve linked a nicely priced one from New Look but if you’ve got the budget then The White Company do some uh-mazing ones! Another failsafe gift for any woman in her right mind is candles. You can never have too many candles and that is a fact. I’m going to let you into a secret here though, the look and the smell matter just as much. Now I know Yankee Candles have some pretty amazing scents but they aren’t exactly easy on the eye. You know you’re friend/mum/girlfriend better than me but personally I love a candle I can put on show! If the lady in question has a particular interest, books are always a lovely gift. I personally love big glossy hardback books or coffee table books, they’re not only interesting to read but a lovely thing to own. Topshop and Urban Outfitters always have good ranges in their gift sections. For the girl who has everything, and is a little bit quirky, I love these Anya Hindmarch letter stickers, they look great on your purse, handbag, phone case, diary.. anywhere you can stick them really! Bralette : Elcy Clothing Esme Bralette  | Charbonnel et Walker Chocolates | Flower Bomb by Viktor & Rolf Lingerie is always a winner when it comes to Christmas, I would steer clear of bra sizes unless you’re 100% sure! Something pretty like this Esme Bralette from Elcy Clothing is perfect as it’s ties with ribbon so shouldn’t cause too many issues if you get the wrong size – its virtually impossible! Of course no wish list would be complete without perfume and chocolates. Flower bomb is my ultimate favourite scent, I always get compliments when I wear it! And when I say Chocolates, I don’t just mean any chocolates. Charbonnel et Walker are the King of chocolates and you ticket to a one way trip to…

Party wear with Farfetch

Party wear with Farfetch

So the other day I was contacted by Farfetch about entering a competition with them, all  I had to do was plan my perfect designer party outfit. I mean – it’s hardly a task when it’s something I pretty much do all of the time anyway! I’m quite a simple dresser and generally prefer to go for things with an interesting cut or texture rather than bright, more showy items! So I’ve gone for a black, white and gold outfit with plenty of different textures. I had far too much fun doing this! Please can I have the outfit now? If you feel like treating yourself I’ve added the links below:

How to shop using Instagram

How to shop using Instagram

I remember when I was younger (yesterday) wishing that everything I liked on Instagram would just appear in my wardrobe and be mine. Well people, I’m here with a very important message – it can! kind of. Last week I was accepted on to the Reward Style programme, it’s basically an affiliate site which as I explained before means if you buy something that you’ve seen on my blog, I get a small percentage of the sale – everyones a winner. They also have an app, well not so much an app as a programme? which works with instagram, now this is where it gets interesting. How it works is that you follow their instagram account @liketoknowit and register at www.liketoknow.it and it literally does what it says on the tin, you like to know it, what I’m wearing that is. Put simply, I share a photograph, you like it, you then get an email with direct links to the product’s I’m wearing sent straight to you’re inbox. You can literally like a picture and buy what’s featured within minutes. This could be dangerous! You never have to ask where something’s from again! Once you sign up you’ll start to realise just how many people are signed up to this and how amazing it can be! You can thank me later!

Home Haul // Blogger Props

Home Haul // Blogger Props

What do you do when you have a day off? Go to Ikea and stuff you’re face with meatballs of course! I did however have a hidden agenda, photography props. Now I know what you’re thinking, this girl is taking instagram far too seriously, someone help her. But honestly, how am I gonna get that, breakfast in bed shot without a tray and a pretty bowl? and yes I did post that this morning – not ashamed at all! Anyway, for those of you that also want to make your photographs pinterest worthy, Ive done a little blogger prop / homeware haul. Did you know, you can actually pin my photographs to pinterest by clicking on them in the centre- a little self promotion never hurt anyone!I was obsessed with these pretty plates and the bowl above, definitely wish I’d got the entire set for when I have my own house but for now one plate and one bowl will do for those ‘food porn’ shots! I’ve also become some what of a collector of fake flowers and at £1 a pop I couldn’t resist those fake orchids!I’ve decided that this year I will become a domestic goddess (slight overreaction) and have a wrapping theme. Which by the way I only just realised was a ‘thing’! They could make great backdrops too no? The rug was only £10 and although I prefer my real one it’s gone slightly creamy coloured which isn’t exactly instagramable now is it?! What lengths do you go to to get the perfect shot? please make me feel better! Also why not make my day and follow me on Bloglovin’? You know you want to! All from Ikea! Tray, Orchids, Plate, Bowl, Rug
