My Inflight Beauty Essentials

Inflight Beauty - Elizabeth Scarlett Eye Mask

My inflight beauty routine has some what grown with age and now I have absolutely no shame in whacking out a sheet mask whilst gliding over the atlantic ocean. Yes Moira, you might be laughing at how ridiculous I look but do you know what isn’t funny? Dry, wrinkly skin.

So since I’ve found a new love for all things pampering, even up high in the sky, I thought I would share with you guys my ultimate inflight beauty essentials. These are the ones I took with me on my trip to Chiang Mai in Thailand.

My Inflight Beauty Essentials

I’m by no means a beauty expert or even a “guru” but I’m pretty proud of my inflight beauty routing so incase one of you guys has a long haul flight coming up, or any flight, I thought I would share it to maybe inspire you to whap out the face mask with no shame.

Before we get started on the routine itself I wanted to take a moment to mention my “suncreams” bag from Anya Hindmarch. This was probably one of the most generous gift’s I’ve received in a PR package from the lovely girls at Shiseido who sent with it their new suncream collection which I did take with me to Thailand and will be sharing with you in my holiday beauty routine!

The first step is to use the Shiseido cleansing wipes. I’m not a fan of wipes in general and always prefer to use a cleansing balm when I have the opportunity, but an airoplane chair doesn’t really offer itself too well for this option so I usually take a set of wipes as a last resort. These Shiseido ones however are super nice and definitely not to be grouped with many other rough and drying facewipes that leave your skin feeling sensitive. I think finding a good set of facewipes is the key to unlocking your inflight beauty routine! I’ve heard the Clinique take the day off face wipes are nice too!

Next steps face masks. I go double here with eyes and face, I mean if you’re sat on a flight for 10 hours you may as well double face mask am I right?! Skin Republic is my new favourite face mask brand. The sheet masks are so moisturising and honestly my skin feels super plump and fresh after doing them. I 100% credit these for my baby soft skin – yeah I said it.

Second round of face masks is the Elemis Pro Collagen Hydra Gel Eye Masks. These are a cult favourite in the beauty world and one I only tried this year and my gosh do I wish I knew about these earlier! They make such a difference and for someone who constantly worries about her under eye bags, they’re an absolute saviour!

Finally I use the Clinique Moisture Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate which is the most powerful moisturiser! I used this a few times throughout the flight whenever I remembered to keep my skin hydrated. I came out with super soft skin and didn’t get one spot which I have to say is an absolute triumph!

On thing I recently got and wish I’d had for the flight was the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour face mist. It’s so refreshing and cooling I think it would have been so perfect for keeping me cool and refreshed during the flight! Especially on the way home when I was trying to stay awake and fight jet lag!
