Double Denim Days

I love simple outfit’s like this, I’m all about simplicity when it comes to getting dressed, if it’s too faffy and I’m not comfortable then I’m not wearing it! I wasn’t quite ready to rock the double blue denim look so I thought I’d pull out my old trusty wax coated skinnies. I would actually wear these all the time if they weren’t a size too small, I have to seriously consider how much eating/ sitting down I’ll be doing when I put these on in the morning.I’m not being funny but I think these sunnies can make any outfit look chic. I literally won’t go anywhere without them, come rain or shine they’re in my bag! These are the shoes that tore my feet to shreds last week in London and left me bleeding in multiple places. I do however love them dearly and will be slipping my scarred feet back into them the second the blisters have healed!Love the fact that my glasses are on wonky here, I wonder if they actually look like this all the time and don’t really fit me? I know I’ve raved about this shirt quite possibly three times now? but seriously – love it. the quality is incredible for the price and I’ve also worn it as a light weight jacket which looks really nice – maybe I’ll do another double denim look with my denim skirt? Watch this space! Don’t forget to leave me a comment! I’d love to hear your thoughts! Folk Chic

Folk Chic

This week my partner in crime (and blog photographer) came home from holiday, yay! Last week I had a bit of a nightmare, I had lots of lovely outfit post’s and photographs lined up to cover her being away when disaster struck. I lost my teeny tiny memory card down the side of the sofa. Cue pop sock on the end of the hoover, we tried everything but the little bugger was gone! So I’m super happy to have her back so we can get shooting again! I brought this top from H&M in the divided section last week, I have to admit, I often walk straight past the divided section passing it off as ‘kids’ clothing. Oh yes, I’m far too sleek and sophisticated for that kind of thing! But seen as I was exchanging something I went through every item in the whole of H&M, I’m not lying.. ask my Mum! I’m not usually one that goes for colour but with my new found love for cold shoulders and my drive to be more ‘girly’ ( a model at work told me I dress like a boy), I thought.. why not! I can’t lie to you, it’s probably the most annoying top I’ve ever worn, but I’d say it’s worth it.. it’s a cute top. The elasticated neckline means it is constantly pinging up around my neck so you have to walk around like the girl from the deodorant advert.. as I said before, totally worth it! I’ve styled it with my good old denim skirt and my new open toe boots from Linzi shoes, who doesn’t love a good shoe boot, am I right or am I right? The tassels are definitely what sold them to me! I think this look is a bit ‘Folk Chic’ shall we call it? Though that might just be the shock of wearing something other than a white t shirt! My Zero UV sunglasses also go perfectly with this top and make a lovely replacement for a necklace. That’s the one thing about these tops, the neckline means necklaces can look a bit icky if they fall in the wrong place, hey presto, the perfect solution. Top: H&M | Skirt: Primark | *Boots: Linzi Shoes | *Sunglasses: Zero UV| Bracelet: H&M Old

Cold Shoulder

Cold Shoulder

So in love with this dress that was sent to me by Laundry Boutique, I’m going on holiday to Greece soon and I can’t think of anything more perfect to wear whilst roaming the streets of Rhodes and Athens! I love the cold shoulder’s, I think sometimes these kind of dresses can look a bit maternity esque but the cold shoulders give it a more feminine feel and the sleeves hang beautifully!  I dressed it down with my fave sandals from none other than M&S, I’m actually tempted to get these in another colour as so far this summer ( if it’s possible to call this weather summer) I’ve lived in them, it’s like wearing my slippers! I hope you also noticed my neck bling from Aura LDN, if you haven’t already then check out my earlier post of how you can win the same necklace as I’m wearing… seriously we could be twins. If you don’t fancy your luck however, use the code ‘SINEAD10’ for 10% off all items at Aura LDN! Can we just take a moment to appreciate how pretty this alleyway in Stamford is? That’s it guys, no more garage door (maybe occasionally) from now on I’m venturing out and about, the pictures look so much nicer! I’m also looking to start using an actual camera.. can you believe these are all taken on my iphone? I’m thinking of getting the Olympus Pen ELP-7 so anybody that has any tips or feedback would be greatly appreciated!! I’m so excited to upgrade my images! If your thinking of getting this dress or something else from Laundry Boutique, then make sure you use the code ‘LOVESTYLE10’ for 10% off anything in store!
