Triangl

So this week I decided to give up waiting for sunshine in the UK ( when I’m not at work – typical!) and waiting for my holiday in August ( too far away) and do a post on my new Triangl bikini. I arrived home from my trip to Spain to this beautiful piece of perfect swimwear! If you don’t know about Triangl already there’s honestly no hope for you.. where have you been? Colourful, neoprene and oh so stylish it’s the ultimate swimwear brand, be seen in one of these poolside and you’ll earn serious style kudos! Not only was I lucky enough to be gifted one of these beauties, but I got to choose my favourite style. After spending far longer than I’d like to admit deliberating over a style I decided to go for the new range of crochet bikinis. Crochet and neoprene.. do they go your thinking? It does sound strange I’ll admit, but honestly it works! I chose this shape because I always find it more flattering for my shape and the snug fit of this is perfect, ride any water slide and this baby’s not moving an inch. Because I had to shoot this inside due to the good old english summer, I decided to spruce up the borders with somewhere I’d rather be – the beach. I’ve styled it out with another of my charity shop finds, a cream embroidered kimono, my favourite sunglasses and did I mention you get this co-ordinating neoprene beach bag with each bikini? STALF Studio

STALF Studio

So this week I had the pleasure of being invited to visit the STALF studio to see what goes on behind the scenes of a clothing brand, and find out more about the brand. Paris is the one woman band running STALF from her Lincolnshire studio with her trusty seamstress at her side. I love the concept of the brand that it’s all made from scratch in Britain, right from the designing stages to the creating of the fabric to production. There’s only one batch of each style so once it’s gone it’s gone, I always think when somethings limited edition it makes it that bit more special, particularly if you know who made it ( see above!). STALF clothes are made with free sizing ( between a 6 -14 depending on the fit) and are perfect for people like me who prefer clothes on the looser side. Can we just take a minute to appreciate how beautiful her studio is? Converted from an old butchers this is a truly pinterest worthy! I’m obsessed with this tile counter! Visit the STALF website here for your own hand made pieces!

DIY Gladiators

DIY Gladiators

I thought I’d try my hand at some DIY gladiators this week. I’m a huge fan (as you already know) of the gladiator sandal trend, and as I got a pair of ankle sandals for my birthday I’ve had a go at upgrading them. The pair I already own are the gladiator style but I guess you could try this with any style if you already had a pair in mind! (Mine are from Topshop). So this idea came to me one day, (a light bulb moment if you will) I’d been looking for a nice (cheap) pair of long gladiators which don’t seem to exist! And suddenly thought, what if I could just get some longer laces? So off I went on an ebay search to find some matching laces, I have to admit 90cm sounds a lot longer than what turned up, so I decided to add them on top of the existing laces. I really like it, I thought it might look weird as the shoe stops at the ankle but I’m happy with how they turned out and I’m now on the hunt for some SUPER LONG laces, next time I’m going knee high! I always think the footwear and accessories are what makes an outfit, so I’ve kept it simple with my favourite denim skirt, my Brown and Berry bag and this beautiful crop I got from STALF Studios yesterday, I’m already in love.

Lace Up

Lace Up

Unless you’ve been living in a hole this past few months you must have noticed that most things ( the best things) this summer come with some form of lace up on them. Dresses, all forms of footwear, where there’s a will there’s a lace up. I’ve dived in head first and embraced the lace up trend this week with my sister’s new H&M dress ( thanks Lauren!) and my beloved Next lace up heels. This is actually a cover up but I’ve put something underneath to maintain my modesty! Personally I think it’s far too pretty for a cover up, at just £9.99 from H&M it was a steal, unfortunately for you and me it’s now sold out, but not to fear, I’ve been trawling the web to find some look a likes. You can thank me later! I always think jewellery is key to finishing off the outfit and these minimalist pieces from  Cradle Jewellery, a jewellery designer based in New York,  are perfect for me! They’re really simple pieces which makes them super easy to wear.. they go with anything! I love the rings, I got a midi ring and a normal one, they work perfectly together! I’m also an absolute rebel and love mixing silver and gold jewellery ( sorry if this makes you cringe you weirdo)!   Dress: H&M  | Shoes: Next | Earrings: Cradle Jewellery | Bracelet: Cradle Jewellery | Ring: Cradle Jewellery | Midi Ring: Cradle Jewellery | Sunglasses: Bali
