Christmas Gift Guide | Stocking Fillers

Stocking Fillers - The Secret Lives Of Colour

My final christmas gift guide and I’ve only brought one present so far so quite frankly, should you really be listening to me? I don’t know, I’ve got all the ideas but no motivation to take my own advice.

To tell you the truth I’m 100% waiting for black Friday which is just around the corner on Friday. All of the deals will be out so if I were you, I would be adding anything you see here to your favourites or saving a shopping basket, then going back to it on Friday and purchasing if it’s got a discount. Or if it hasn’t. But basically just hold your horses and see if it’s gone down.

The Ultimate Stocking Fillers Gift Guide

So stocking fillers hands down have to be the most fun gifts to buy. They’re so much more fun and the pressure is off. You don’t need to impress like you do with the main event, they’re the supporting acts of christmas and expectations are low, so long as there’s a chocolate selection box in mine am I right?

I had so much fun putting this one together and basically created a whole new christmas wish list for myself which once I finish writing this post I’ll be emailing round yes I’m that person.

I’m going to be honest out right and say, adapt these to men because I gathered my own belongings and then basically went online shopping so they’re all female related. Soz about that. I do have a lovely menswear gift guide over here if you wanted some inspo for the men in your life though!

Accessories are a great stocking filler for girls. You’ve got scarves, berets, baker boy hats, wooly hatsphone cases and key rings. For me? I’d like a PVC beret please, if you’re listening Santa.

Skip this if they’ve not got their own home and have no interest in interiors (and question why you’re friends with them). Interior gifts are the best gifts. Who wants to spend £24 on a make up brush holder (ok I did) not many people, but we do want the make up brush holder, so buy the ridiculously overpriced piece of marble with gold sticks in it so your make up brushes can look pretty. The same with £15 coastersridiculously overpriced but we still want them. Buy us them please.

Jewellery & make up storage solutions like these cute little ring holders will always go down a treat FYI.

I feel like a piece of luxury make up is a lovely gift and fairly sentimental stay with me here. I love taking out my lovely lipstick and taking time in putting it on, it makes me feel special and always reminds me of the person that got it for me or the time when I treated myself to it. The same with painting my nails, I always think about my boyfriend when I apply the Burberry nail varnish he so thoughtfully picked up for me a couple of years ago – I know it’s probably gone off.

Stocking Fillers - Ring Holders

Astrid and Miyu definitely deserve a mention here. They do the most beautiful gold, silver and rose gold pieces that are super dainty and adorned with diamantes. Not usually a diamante kinda gal I am obsessed with these pieces. They give girly sparkles a cool girl edge and even better, their rings are adjustable so you don’t have to worry about getting the right size. Make sure you also check out their ear cuff selection it is insane.

I put them in the stocking fillers section because compared to a lot of the other jewellery brands I mentioned in my gift guide for her, they’re way more affordable.

The first lesson in sleepwear, you can never have enough sleepwear. I’m talking slippers, fuzzy socks, loungewear, pyjamas, dressing gowns . .  basically my work uniform. Next do the most incredibly soft pyjamas that I live for and if I’m honest, Primark fuzzy socks are the best. Some fuzzy socks or a new set of pyjamas are the perfect stocking filler additions.

I know I said it in both my gift guide for him and my gift guide for her, but books are a great gift and there are some super affordable ones that make perfect stocking fillers. To me, I not only love the books for reading but also as decoration for my house, they add colour to surfaces and a beautiful book to me is like a piece of art.

Whether they’re a fashion lover and want to up their instagram game, an interior designer in the making or a huge fan of history, there’s a book for everyone.
