OOTD | PASTEL ACCESSORIES

I’m so excited to finally wear this top, I’ve had it for a few weeks now but I lent it to one of my good photographer friends for a shoot. I picked it up from Boohoo for a mere £18 which I was pretty happy about! I love floaty tops almost as much as I love cold shoulders! Last week I was sent this beautiful pastel bag from Label MB, I’m normally really boring when it comes to colours of handbags. I find it difficult to venture away from black, even tan is pretty out there for me so the last thing I would usually pick is a pink bag. Oh how I was wrong! Pink goes with everything, everything I wear anyway! I’m a sucker for a bucket bag and love the textured detailing. All I can say is I wish I had it earlier for the whole of summer!

August Wish List

August Wish List

A new month and a new wish list, I swear as soon as I buy the one thing I need, I suddenly need something else! Such a burden! I’m loving denim at the moment as I’m sure you can tell, I’m on the hunt for the perfect denim shirt (and dress, and top, and skirt) so if you know of any good ones then please leave me a comment! It will be much appreciated! I know a lot of this stuff is quite wintery but I always think that summers when you need to start keeping your eyes peeled for a good pair of boots, seriously it’s never too early, if you don’t buy it now you will regret it! This month I’m determined that I will own a Chloe dupe by September latest. Also, guess what?! I got an email this morning saying I’d won a £100 voucher from Topshop! So I’ll probably be picking up those winter boots and I’ll do a post when I decide what to spend it on and show you my goodies!! The Perfect Pair

The Perfect Pair

Usually when people talk about ‘the perfect pair’ they mean jeans or shoes, me? I’m talking sunnies. Now it’s only really this year that I’ve grown up and decided to spend more than 99p on a road market for some sunglasses, I’ve graduated to grown up sunglasses from real life shops! I know.. go me. Seriously thought, what I’m about to tell you will blow your mind. Sunglasses don’t just protect your eyes, they also frame your face and can make you look pretty damn hot even if I do say so myself. Ok, so apparently I’m the only one who’s only just realised the power of the sunglasses, I’ve got some time to make up. With that in mind my sunglasses collection is growing by the day. My ultimate favourites have to be my original pair of ‘grown up sunglasses’ from Asos, I’m obsessed with tortoise shell and even just resting on the top of my head they make me look great. I also have a variety of styles from Zero UV, the official sunglasses bible. I especially love the blue reflective lenses, not a style I would usually have gone for but I’m so glad I did, who knew?! Anyway, I thought I’d indulge in a little selfie session to show you my favourite styles. In hindsight, a white jumper on a white background wasn’t my best of ideas!   Cat Eye Sunglasses: Asos | Reflective Black Sunglasses: Zero UV | Tortoise Shell Square Frame Sunglasses: Zero UV

DIY Hair | Do not try this at home!

DIY Hair | Do not try this at home!

So this week I thought I would have a go at some DIY hair dye, ‘don’t do it’ you’re thinking ‘go professional’ I hear you say. Yes well thanks so much but I really could have used that advice before I went through with it. Fat load of help it is now! So I was going for that beachy blonde highlight look so I decided to but the colour I liked in an all over dye and apply it to sections of my hair brushing it through for even coverage to avoid the zebra chic look. This step didn’t turn out so badly, if it turned out at all. I went lighter by 0.00001 of a shade and it was barely noticeable, however, there were no zebra stripes and it looked pretty even, I was a natural. Hungry for more I took myself down to superdrug and purchased a highlighting kit, a brush on one, not one of those awful cap things! I used a similar technique for the highlights and was pretty relaxed, after all I’d already succeeded once so I had nothing to worry about. Next thing I know, My hair is yellow. I don’t have hightlights, I have a yellow head, all over, top to toe. After bathing in silver shampoo for two days straight the yellows calmed down and it’s definitely growing on me. I wanted to share this experience with you guys to just say don’t do it, please learn from my mistakes! If any of you have hair nightmares I would love you to share your stories!!

OOTD | Striped Shirt

OOTD | Striped Shirt

I wanted to show you my new favourite thing ever, I only brought it about two weeks ago and have already pretty much worn it out. I’m ashamed to say that I’ve worn it so much that I’ve had to stop myself from doing OOTD posts on instagram, it would honestly be the same each day. I spotted this on the lovely Hannah from Cocobeautea’s youtube haul video, that girl gives me some serious wardrobe envy! When I first tried it on in Topshop my boyfriend said it was weird and too big, then I was like ‘you seriously don’t have any idea about fashion’ and went back and brought it. Honestly, what a waste of two more days I could have been wearing it for? My boyfriend brought me this lovely Mango bag as a surprise the other day, can you believe it?! Serious brownie points, who would expect a man to pick such a beautiful bag?!Shirt: Topshop | Jeans: Topshop | *Shoes: Linzi | Bag: Mango | *Sunglasses: Zero UV | *Watch: Urban Watch | Bangle : H&M Old ( Similar Here)
