Four Ways // New Years Eve Styling

What do I wear on New Years Eve? That fateful question, every year I try to plan ahead and every year I end up buying dresses in bulk at the last minute in a desperate attempt to find something suitable. If I’m totally honest in an attempt to avoid this completely, this year I’m having a rather tame New Years Eve, a couples dinner party. To be fair I’ll probably still panic about what to wear but isn’t that just every Saturday night? Anyway, what my point is, is that I’ve put together a range of different looks to try and inspire you! Underneath each look I’ll add a little widget with some of my top picks from the high street and any discount codes I know of, Believe me there’ll be plenty!! The Little Navy Dress Dress : Zara// Heels : Chockers Shoes  I know it’s typically little black dress but I think we’ve established by now that I’m not you’re typical girl and personally I think navy adds a bit of luxury to your look. I don’t know what it is, but give me the same dress in either navy or black and I’d always choose navy. I love this dress because it’s so comfortable. That baggy style can hide a multitude of sins and is pretty much perfect for a dinner party – ladies and gentlemen I think we know what I’ll be wearing! I love long sleeves on a dress and the low back kind of makes up for the baggy shape so its not too casual. I got it in the sales from Zara last year for a mere £9.99, or something along those outrageously cheap lines! I will link similar below though! I’ve paired it with these fun, fringed heels from Chockers Shoes, something simple like this definitely needs a statement shoe or a substantial heel, one or the other! A Casual New Years Eve Look *Dress : In The Style // *Heels : Public Desire If, like me, you’re not one for dressing up, I’ve got you covered. It’s kind of smart/casual if you will. I know this is the sort of look some girls would probably wear out shopping but for me it’s definitely more of an evening look! Heeled boots are always my saviour for when I want to look smart but can’t quite take the leap out of my casual comfort zone. This In The Style dress paired with my favourite Public Desire boots (they had to be in there somewhere) is to me the perfect casual new years look. I mean you’ve got your legs out, what more do people want? Make sure you use code SIN10 for 10% off at In the Style sitewide The New Years Eve Playsuit *Playsuit : In The Style // *Heels : In The Style Obviously khaki was going to be in here somewhere, god I wish I could add the sassy emoji in here! The colour of the year (for me anyway) was bound to be featured! This little…

Monochrome Knitwear

Monochrome Knitwear

I’ve never really been a fan of cardigans, and I’m not sure what it is, but I think there’s a line of thickness in a cardigan where it crosses over from being a cardigan to a coatigan. So for my own sake, I’ll be calling this a coatigan, and if any of you have a problem with that then you can just go and call the cardigan police! When it comes to knitwear, monochrome is key. My wardrobe is full of monochrome knitwear, I have a jumper in practically every shade of cream, white and grey, black not so much. Yes, is the answer to your question, there are different shades of white and cream. What I love about this coatigan is the pattern, I think it makes a statement and is another one of those pieces that you can just chuck on to make jeans and a t-shirt look put together. This is where my monochrome knitwear theory comes in, if this pattern was in colour it just wouldn’t work, monchrome is king, fact. Because I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit pretty simple, I stuck with my favourite linen t-shirt (which shrunk in the wash and I am devastated about), my In the Style jeans with stitching detail up the sides (use code SIN10 for 10% off anything at In the Style) and of course, my failsafe Public Desire boots! And here it is, my new baby, the light of my life, my new bag. I love this bag for three reasons: 1 – are you seeing what I’m seeing 2 – it goes with everything 3 – it forces me to not carry round everything I own. *Coatigan : SheInside // T-Shirt : H&M // *Jeans : In the Style ( Use code SIN10 for 10% off anything online) //*Boots : Public Desire // Bag : Zara Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’  so you never miss a post!! Monochrome Knitwear What do you think? Are you sold on my monochrome knitwear theory??! Do you have any style rules that you live by like me? I’ve linked some of my favourite monochrome knits at the moment below! Shop the Post

Hello, It’s Me . .

Hello, It’s Me . .

Did you wonder where I’d been? I’m sorry for the relentless stream of faceless posts but I promise to try and be more organised from now on! I’ve had a few sorry excuses (the flu, photographer on holiday) for not shooting which meant I was left imageless and with a pile of outfits building up, but I’m back. Don’t panic. I’ve been after a bomber jacket for a while, khaki of course, so when I was sent this one from Lily Lulu I was pretty damn happy about it! It’s so warm, like only marginally not as warm as my Zara shearling coat. It’s really nice to have an alternative to wear for the chilly weather because to be honest, the shearling’s taken a bit of  battering, we’re talking everyday wear here. I thought it was going to be cold to begin with because if I’m honest it’s a bit papery on the outside, but don’t be fooled theres lots of padding on the inside! It’s not exactly Topshop or Zara quality but for the price of it it’s really nice and it 100% does the job, I nearly fell asleep driving to work the other day it was like being wrapped in a quilt! SO cosy! Can we just take a minute to appreciate how badly I put my lipstick on?!This outfit is pretty much what I wear most days, I’m so in love with my H&M fringed jumper, its really warm but because it’s not a fluffy knit I don’t overheat in it – if you know what I mean? Also, cream jumpers are always a winner. Then of course my go to boots and bag at the minute, I have actually brought a smaller Zara bag recently (which I know you’ll be seeing a lot of) in an attempt to stop carrying round so much junk. Like honestly, I love this bag but I carry around so much crap, after a day of using it I genuinely feel like I’ve done a work out – arm day, is that a gym thing like leg day? Let me know what you think and again I do apologise for the lack of outfit posts, I love them too! Sidebar, have you all done your christmas shopping? I’m nearly finished but just have one tricky secret santa left to buy for! I’ve been using Selfridges gift guide for tips because it’s uh-mazing! Topshop also have a really good one sectioning it off into different personalities!

How to Nail Christmas Gifting for Men

How to Nail Christmas Gifting for Men

Unlike other years I’m actually nearly done and dusted with Christmas shopping, which is a miracle considering my boyfriends birthday’s on the 16th of December, such a nightmare! So for those of you that haven’t even though about Christmas shopping yet, what are you thinking?! I’ve put together a little gift guide for some Christmas gifting inspiration! I had to put a ban on spending because I love buying presents and could just keep buying and spending all of my pennies! Anyway, I’ve put together a little gift guide boutique for you to shop so I hope some of you find this helpful because personally I think men are the worst to buy for, like impossible! I actually found some pretty good bits though for all price points so let me know if this is helpful and you find the perfect gift!! Don’t forget to let me know if and what you buy! November Favourites

November Favourites

I’ve never done a post like this before but I love watching them on Youtube, and seen as I’m too much of a WIMP to start my own channel I shall continue to use them as inspo for blogging! Posts like this ‘November Favourites’ I find so helpful because its not just “here look what I brought” you can get a little review on the product and why they’re loving it.. so here goes. Also, if you do think I should start a youtube channel and you would actually watch it and subscribe, let me know because it is something I am seriously thinking about but I would feel awful for having to submit the world to the sound of my voice, is it just me that hates the sound of their voice on tape?(tape? what are we in 1990?) The Shearling Coat This isn’t just a November favourite, this is a since I brought it from Zara favourite. Wow that sounded like an M&S advert! Unfortunately for you guys it’s sold out everywhere but I’ll make a little widget and stick it below with some good copies! This coat though, was such a good investment. I felt physical pain when I handed my card over to pay £90!! But so worth it, I don’t think there’s been a day that’s gone by that I haven’t worn it and I know you get me when I say the fact that I can wear a lightweight top underneath it and still be warm is everything. The Public Desire Boots I’m just obsessed with these boots. I don’t think you need an explanation as to why, if you do then I don’t think I trust your judgetment!! They’re a dupe of the Topshop Master Boots but half the price, Public Desire always have discount codes too if you sign up to their newsletter or something, just a handy tip for you there! The White Tee I brought this T shirt in Zara in Sweden and I must wear it at least once a week, no shame. I’ve never tried to hide my obsession with white T-shirts, but this one has the nicest texture. It’s kind of bobble, lines? Not great at describing things but you can see it in the picture! Because it’s more structured too I love wearing it with just jeans and heels for a smart/casual look because lets face it I never go full out smart. The Rust Jumper I’m pretty sure you guys love this jumper as much as me. As you can see it’s gone all bobbly from the amount of times I’ve worn it but to be honest it’s not that obvious in real life and quite frankly I’m not prepared to part with it yet! I would honestly wear this everyday if it was socially acceptable, it’s definitely my go to piece for when I don’t know what to wear slash can’t be bothered! Again this is probably sold out but either way it’s from Gina Tricot which is a Swedish…
