Monochrome Clash

So I pretty much picked the worst location ever for this shoot! My poor photographer was risking her life with every photo standing in the middle of a busy road on a Saturday morning, not my finest moment! I was looking forward to styling up this Miss Pap top in all of it’s monochrome glory. I’m a bit sad I didn’t have it sooner for the good weather but I’m sure it will look lovely layered up and it’s perfect for drinks with friends and other evening activities! I’m a fan of a loose fit so this is perfect for me, I’m a firm believer that you can never have too many tops, particularly white ones! Seen as it’s getting far too chilly for my liking I decided to put my old friend the blanket scarf into good use. I love the clashing prints in this look, I always see other people doing this sort of thing and just never feel like I could pull it off myself. I guess if you’re going to try and do something like that then monochrome is definitely the way to start! I’m not honestly a huge fan of dog tooth (or is it hounds tooth?) in many things, I mean if it turns out to be a huge trend in the future I’m sure I’ll be eating my words. But I’ve always loved my trusted blanket scarf, it’s my only monochrome one so it probably gets the most wear of them all. The prints work well together, because the Miss Pap top has a larger print and the scarfs a smaller print they’re not so in your face when put together. Are you with me in making the switch to your winter wardrobe or are you still clinging on to summer? *Top : Miss Pap | Scarf : Old | Jeans : Topshop | *Shoes : Next Old | Bag : Zara

Forever 21 Favourites

Forever 21 Favourites

I can never resist a quick shop in Forever 21 whenever I’m in a 1 mile radius of a store, but I never think to shop online. I follow a lot of Americans and Canadians on Instagram and everything they have I want and where does it all come from? Forever 21 of course. Now I don’t know why but for some reason, probably the fact that it’s an american brand, I got it into my head that you had to pay for international shipping if you order online. Why didn’t I just check your thinking? I wonder about that same question myself. It’s the same as any other UK shipping and best of all, they’ve got that aged old favourite offer, spend £50 or over and you get free delivery. So I’m not sure if you’re familiar with forever 21 but it’s pretty much the best store ever, same kind of stuff as H&M and Topshop only with 1000’s to choose from and at a fraction of the price. I was so overwhelmed when I first looked (and so broke) that I only got the denim shirt. It’s pretty perfect to be honest, it’s only £19.00 and it’s really heavy denim so they clearly don’t skimp on quality to get the cheap prices! I did however enjoy putting together a little wishlist which come pay day I’ll be taking through the checkout. Bell Sleeve Slouchy Sweater : £15.00 | Denim Shirt : £19.00 | Striped Trim Ribbed Top : £12.00 | Boxy Utility Jacket : £25.00 | Genuine Suede Button-Front Jacket : £52.00 | Textured Open-Knit Sweater : £14.00 | Cuffed Cap-Sleeve Boxy Top : £10.00 | Buttoned Denim Pencil Skirt : £19.00 | Faux Suede Strappy Flats : £19.00 | Genuine Suede Mini Skirt : £22.00 | Frayed Stripe-Patterned Scarf : £11.00 | Wavy Knit Sweater : £14.00 Do you shop at Forever 21? Am I the only person on earth to have only just discovered it?? If you find any good pieces let me know! Don’t forget to nominate me in the Cosmopolitan blog awards if you haven’t already!! Rhodes | Family Time

Rhodes | Family Time

I was a bit apprehensive about our holiday in Greece, don’t get me wrong we were going for my big sisters wedding and I was nothing but extremely excited for that! We were however, staying in a 6 bed villa, all 7 of us. It was going to be the first time we’d all been in a house together for more than a day in a good few years and it definitely could have gone either way!! Clearly, I had nothing to worry about! We all got on like a house on fire, duh, we’re family of course we did! Honestly it really opened up my eyes to how much I take my family for granted, yeah I still live with my parents so I see them everyday but I don’t really see them properly, truly enjoying their company and taking in the moment. My sisters, I’m lucky if I see them once a week and I never see the whole family in the same room except for Christmas and Easter! We’ve always been a close family, I honestly have no secrets! But as we’ve grown older we’ve grown apart slightly, I know that’s to be expected but when we all live in the same town it’s down right ridiculous to not be seeing each other more often! So with this new found revelation that, actually, we all like each other and get on pretty damn well, I decided to organise a family dinner at least once a month. We haven’t had one yet but I’m going to make sure we do and that we keep doing them! I also thought I’d take this opportunity to share with you some of my holiday snaps from the villa, my Mum really hit the jackpot when she booked this pastel beauty! Do you still have family holidays? How do you stay in touch with your family? Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin!

Shirt Dress

Shirt Dress

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how nice this shirt dress is? When Forever Modo contacted me to say they’d like to collaborate (love those emails!) I was excited but also nervous. Let me just explain! Nervous because I’m a picky bugger and they were sending me something of their choice. Honestly though, I needn’t have worried, clearly the girls at Forever Modo had been stalking my style to see what I normally wear and they pretty much hit the jackpot when they sent me this! I don’t actually own a shirt dress, neither have I ever owned one before, but I love it. The tiny print, the relaxed shape and the roll up sleeves are all massive ticks for me. I probably wouldn’t have picked this out if I’m completely honest because I tend to stick to what I know, but I’m proud to say I’m now a shirt dress convert! We were having one of those rare days in the UK when the sun’s shining so I decided to bare my legs and wear my wedges for a kinda smart casual look. I have to warn you actually – this dress is incredibly sheer, you have to wear something underneath! I have this white tube dress/ skirt/ piece of material that I always wear under things like this, you could probably wear black too though if you wanted to give it a different look! I’ve definitely renewed my love for this handbag, not long after I got it the lovely girls at Brown and Berry sent me a handbag and then my boyfriend brought me a new one (ok, I’ll stop bragging) so it kind of got shoved to the back of my wardrobe. I can’t believe I did that to such a beautiful bag, yes it may weigh a ton but it’s worth the wonky shoulder and it’s perfect for Autumn, bonus for you guys, they still sell it online! If your reading this blog and thinking “hey, this is pretty good” I would be eternally grateful if you would nominate me for the cosmopolitan blog awards! I’ve put the link on the side of my blog but you can also nominate me here! Leave me a comment if you do so I can thank you individually!!!! *Shirt Dress : Forever Modo | *Wedges : Next Old | Bag : Zara | Necklace : Magpie on the Run Would you let someone else pick out clothes for you!? After this revelation I would definitely do it again! I think it’s great to try out new things! Follow me on Bloglovin

Stockholm Mini Haul

Stockholm Mini Haul

I couldn’t resist a spot of shopping when I was in Stockholm, it’s pretty trendy for me to be honest, like hackney on another level of hipster. I did however manage to find some shops that we’re more on my level amongst the sea of vintage shops, so I thought I’d do a little haul post to show you the pieces I picked up. To be honest it’s pretty much all from shops we have here but there’s something novel about shopping in another currency, I always feel like I’m getting more of a bargain.. very dangerous! Gina Tricot I picked up this short sleeved jumper from a shop called Gina Tricot which I’d never heard of before, it’s a similar style to H&M I guess but a lot cheaper. I seriously struggled when choosing between this rust colour and grey, I was shocked that a) I didn’t get both, and b) I didn’t get the grey. I always buy grey and I do want to wear colour, honestly, I just find it difficult because I love grey and it loves me. Anyway I’m glad I chose the rust because it’s super nice and it suits me, even if I do say so myself! You can see me wearing it in my Autmn Rust Post. Zara If I go in a Zara and I don’t buy anything my mood is lowered by at least 50%, it’s just not healthy. If you read my blog you’ll know I’m a sucker for a white t shirt, this one is honestly so soft on the inside and I love the structured shape and texture. Mango I got this vest because it’s so soft I can’t even explain to you, and it had a red sale sticker on it, who cares what the price is, it’s on sale! Then when I was paying I saw this monster of a ring, I’m not usually one for a chunky ring but I actually love this and my long gangly fingers can definitely take it! When I was looking to link it on Mango I noticed how nice their jewellery collection is, seriously, have a look. H&M You can’t go to Sweden and not go to H&M, it’s just rude. I have to be honest, because Zara’s so cheap in Spain I was expecting H&M to be Primark prices so I was pretty shocked when they were the same there as they are here. I still brought stuff though, duh. Has anyone else been to H&M in Sweden before? They have an entire make up range of their own and also stock other brands like Max Factor and Real Techniques, they do hair dyes and dry shampoo and all sorts! I was really excited by this and couldn’t resist a lipstick which is actually so nice and my new favourite! I also picked up this pretty lace bra, I usually get all of my pretty bras from elcy clothing but I couldn’t resist this fishnet style beauty. Jumper :…
