Spring Style Inspiration

Spring is upon us! All of the new season trends are out; denim, 70’s, fringing, etc, but I generally find myself looking to social media sites like pinterest for my style inspiration. I don’t buy a whole new wardrobe every season as I’m more of a minimalist when it comes to my wardrobe anyway ( as I said before, black, white and grey) so I only buy pieces that I know I’ll love for months to come and that will fit in with what I already have. Therefore whilst I do like to keep up to date with the trends, especially for my job, when it comes to styling my own wardrobe I look to pinterest for new ways of styling old favourites! Here’s some of my favourite looks I’ve found that I will be using as my inspiration this Spring!   You can find all of the original links for my inspirational images on my pinterest boards. My definite spring staple has to be my leather jacket, as soon as the weather turns milder my coats get packed away and the leather jacket makes a strong return! I love the tonal looks, all white or all grey using different textures to create a unique look. No spring inspiration post would be complete without my shopping list for this season! I know there’s some jumpers on there but I do love a good skirt and jumper combo!!

Charity Shop Find

Charity Shop Find

Can you believe this cardigan is from a charity shop? Me neither! I’ve learnt to be quite thrifty recently and couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked into Cancer Research and saw this beauty hanging up! It’s so soft and the quality is amazing, for a mere £5.00!! I love the length, though it’s a bit tricky to wear with jackets so might be worn a lot more when the weather get’s better! I’m not a big fan of colour, so I think camel is the perfect accent to my black, white and grey wardrobe! I’ve dressed it up a bit with my black coated jeans from Topshop, and my heeled sliders but it’s the sort of cardigan you can wear with pretty much anything! I’ve always been one to pop in to charity shop’s on occasion, but finding gems like this remind me that you can find such great quality items at a fraction of the price, plus no one else will have it!   Cardigan: Cancer Research | T shirt: H&M | Jeans: Topshop | Heels: H&M Old | Bag: Zara| Watch: Larsson & Jennings   Sinead x

eLCy

eLCy

Follow my blog with Bloglovin So here’s another fun fact about me.. I also happen to have an amazingly talented sister who runs her own clothing line~ eLCy clothing. As you can imagine this is great news for me, first dibs on new styles, exclusive sample sales and ..well.. pretty much a personal seamstress (if she ever had the time that is!). eLCy is “lingerie and clothing for the young at heart”, I’d describe it as handmade pieces perfect for the beach and the bedroom. It started with jersey basics with a twist but she’s recently gone in to intimates and with her upcoming festival collection on it’s way there’s no stopping her! So after much begging and pleading I have in my hands the new Kendall bralet, with it’s ribbon ( oh so elegant) fastenings and eyelash lace trim it screams hand made .. you won’t find one of these baby’s in the high street! As a member of the small boobs society I love soft bras.. hey it’s the one thing that’s actually good about having small boobs.. you don’t have to wear over the shoulder bolder holder’s! I know no one else can see it, but there’s something about wearing pretty underwear that makes you feel special and gives you a certain confidence! Start from the bottom up .. or the inside out? As the little sister of a clothing label I have also managed to wangle you lovely readers ( hi Mum) a discount code! So if you too want that “I’m wearing nice underwear” glow then make sure you go to www.elcyclothing.com and enter ‘LOVESTYLEMINDFULNESS ‘ to get 10% off your order.. did I forget to mention that there’s also free delivery at the moment? What are you waiting for!   Sinead x

Texture

Texture

I Found this jacket in the sale last week at H&M, I’ve had my eye on it for a while so you can imagine my excitement when I found it on the sale rail for a mere £15!! I couldn’t find it online to link but there were loads in store and I’ve seen them since in other stores! These little jackets are perfect because they’re structured they give a smarter look than a cardigan, and you can throw them on with anything (like I have!) and it makes an outfit! I love playing with textures in my outfit’s and thought the shaggy texture of the jacket worked well with my Zara croc skin leather bag (which I also happen to be in love with). Hello!

Hello!

Welcome to my brand spanking new blog! For my first post I thought I would keep it simple with a little intro to me and the blog. I’m a fashion stylist/personal stylist based in the UK, and have decided to set up a blog that focuses on my two main loves; Styling and Mindfulness. To save this post from being a boring essay on me and who I am and what I do, I thought I would make it fun with a magazine-eque questionaire so you can get to know me a bit better! Favourite Colour? Yellow What did you have for breakfast? Fruit with natural yogurt and a cup of tea! Starsign? Gemini Whats your idea of a good night out? Pizza and wine with good friends Cats or Dogs? It definitely used to be cats.. we have three.. but then we got a puppy (cockapoo) and I’ve never looked back! What one meal would you eat for the rest of your life if you could only have one thing? Curry!! Secret Talent? I can pick up a mug with my toes Can’t live without? Cake! My weakness! If I wasn’t a stylist I would be..  A graphic designer, I love photoshop! What makes you laugh? EVERYTHING! I’m always laughing and I’ve been told that it’s a fairly aggressive laugh! I will be keeping the blog updated three times weekly on a Monday, Wednesday and  Friday with the odd post thrown in here and there! Sinead x
