    What do you do when you have a day off? Go to Ikea and stuff you’re face with meatballs of course! I did however have a hidden agenda, photography props. Now I know what you’re thinking, this girl is taking instagram far too seriously, someone help her. But honestly, how am I gonna get that, breakfast in bed shot without a tray and a pretty bowl? and yes I did post that this morning – not ashamed at all! Anyway, for those of you that also want to make your photographs pinterest worthy, Ive done a little blogger prop / homeware haul. Did you know, you can actually pin my photographs to pinterest by clicking on them in the centre- a little self promotion never hurt anyone!I was obsessed with these pretty plates and the bowl above, definitely wish I’d got the entire set for when I have my own house but for now one plate and one bowl will do for those ‘food porn’ shots! I’ve also become some what of a collector of fake flowers and at £1 a pop I couldn’t resist those fake orchids!I’ve decided that this year I will become a domestic goddess (slight overreaction) and have a wrapping theme. Which by the way I only just realised was a ‘thing’! They could make great backdrops too no? The rug was only £10 and although I prefer my real one it’s gone slightly creamy coloured which isn’t exactly instagramable now is it?!     Ways to wear // Mixing it up

    I may be a simple dresser but when it comes to my basics I love to mix it up a bit. I often find different ways to wear things, I always think it’s a great way of justifying a purchase. If you can wear it two ways then that’s halved the price surely? I’ve worked my magic on a couple of different pieces recently so I thought I’d share them with you. If you have any tips on different way’s to wear thing’s I’d love to hear, I’m always looking for different way’s of reinventing old pieces! This Wal G top is seriously soft and the most comfortable thing I’ve worn in a long time! I’ve stuck a white top underneath to make it daytime appropriate (for me at least!), plus it was cold and I was ill so I definitely wasn’t feeling the low cut/bare chest vibes. What I really love about a low cut top is spinning it round, us flat chested ladies suit a high neck much better and who doesn’t love a low cut back? I brought this top because of the soft knitted style and I can’t remember how much it was but it was from Primark so definitely a bargain of some form. After putting it on several times then quickly changing before I left the house I was ready to give it to charity. Then lightning struck, what about turning it round? I actually love the string across the neck, at first I thought it was a bit strange but now it’s definitely become one of my favourite tops! Make sure you make my day and follow me on Bloglovin’!     How to bring more happiness into your everyday life

    *Rings : Little Findings | *Mug : Yonder Living | Colouring Book : Amazon | Pens : Amazon I saw a great quote the other day, I can’t actually reference it because I didn’t do my usual screen shot, but it really resonated with me. I love quotes that point out the most simple, everyday things and make you look at life from a different perspective. “Write two lists, a list of your day to day routine and a list of what makes you happy. Adjust the first list accordingly” Reading this just reminds me how much I go into auto pilot mode in my day to day life. You shouldn’t have to take time out to make yourself happy and indulge – obviously that’s a lovely thing to do but if it’s something that you have to make time for then you usually won’t do it. Why not adjust the things you already do to bring you happiness on the reg? Here’s a few things on my list and what I do to make myself happier: Breakfast – I get up slightly earlier to make a lovely healthy and warm breakfast. It sets me up for the day and doesn’t actually take much longer than making a slice of toast! Drive to work – I make myself a cup of tea to have on the way whilst I listen to Nick Grimshaws show – I find him so hilarious and there’s nothing like laughing hysterically on the way to work to put you in a good mood! Drive home – I listen to queen bee – she helps me to leave work at work and put my sassy hat on Bedtime – This one I find the hardest, I try to go to bed earlier and switch of from social media. I’ve started making time to read before I sleep, I love reading but never seem to do it anymore Do you make time for things that bring you happiness on a daily basis?     As I’ve mentioned more than enough times, my sister has her own lingerie line. Not the kind of line that as a blogger I feel obliged to write about, but the kind that I beg for freebies for. Think for love and lemons minus the price tag. I feel privileged to work with her among some of the top bloggers like Yasmine Chanel and Desires by us, some serious instagram inspo right there. Anyway, enough gushing, as number 1 sister this often means getting roped into photoshoots (I say roped like I don’t want to do it).     Now I know what you’re expecting and I can tell you now there’s no Chanel handbags in this post. Soz for the misleading title guys, but this is actually a post about my new Sekonda watch from House of Watches. I personally think it’s well deserving of the title, so what, just because you don’t buy something from Harrods for thousands, it doesn’t mean its not luxury. It can be anything from a nice bath to a Hermes Birkin (I’ll take the later please and thank you). I think everyone has their own view on what luxury means, whilst I would love a Chloe handbag I also see time spent with my loved ones as one of life’s true luxuries! I was asked to choose between three watches for this post and I have to say this was my last option, now I’m wondering why. Usually, as you well know, I’m a bit of a basic dresser and opt for clean and simple style so I was actually taken aback at how much I liked this watch. There’s something about the gold and navy together that give it a touch of luxury and make it look way more than the mere £34.99 it is. The diamantes are definitely not something I would usually look for on a watch but hey, whats three diamantes between friends? I’ll tell you what else I love about this, the face. You can’t beat a big mannish watch but this ones nice and slim so you still get the size but it’s a little sleeker with it’s slim face and thin strap giving it a more feminine feel. Can you tell that I had far too much fun playing around and taking photographs for this post? I love a good flatlay and a watch always finishes the picture off perfectly, especially this Sekonda navy leather and gold tone beauty! I also just wanted to show off my new jumper from H&M, what do you think?! I’ve seen this whole wearing your watch over your jumper thing in photos before and think it looks really nice. Am I totally wrong here? Not sure it’s the sort of thing you’d wear out of the house though, perhaps if it wasn’t with such a thick jumper! What’s your favourite way to wear your watch?!
