My Daily Essentials // Beauty

As I’m dipping my big toe into the world of beauty, I thought it was only right to share with you my favourite beauty products that I wear every single day. My daily essentials if you will! daily essentials Base I use Mac for my base, I never really bought into the whole Mac thing until recently. I had some of their lipsticks which by the way taste incredible but never the face products. I always just wrote it off as something girls who wear a lot of make up wear and never really thought they might have options for all levels of make-up-ness.  One hour after visiting a Mac stand later and I’m walking away £100 lighter with a bag full of goodies and some new daily essentials. I use the Studio Sculpt foundation which is really nice and light and gives a more dewy look. I also use the Select Moisture cover concealer which I was told to put on before my foundation and actually learnt that I’ve been putting too much on! I’ve always had a major hang up when it comes to my under eye circles since a drunk told me I looked 30 at the age of 19, I’ve tried so many different products even layering 3 different types at one point! Apparently the more you put on the more it looks like you’re trying to cover, honestly I agree so much and I’m much more confident about them now! Finally on my face I use the Mac Mineralise Powder to keep my make up in place and for me it just kind of finishes it off and makes it look perfect. My sister always tells me my skin looks flawless now which is so nice to hear and makes me think that who cares how much it costs when it makes you feel that good? I mean don’t get me wrong I don’t really get spots so I don’t have bad skin but it’s more the staying power and the flawless finish I love! Contour Once I’ve done my base I cover my face in a light layer of bronzer and contour with this Sleek Make up Palette. I was sent this by the lovely people over at In The Style and honestly there’s not a day goes by that I don’t use it! The highlighter is amazing and I love the subtle contour. Its so quick to do as well, I don’t do the whole face just my cheeks so I literally do a stripe of each and blend them for a natural look! Brows Again, I was lucky enough to be sent this Magic Powder from Eyeko. It’s called Magic Powder and my god it is. I’ve had it since way before Christmas and I use it everyday without fail, it’s become one of my most loved daily essentials. It takes two seconds to brush on and the brush is like a lipgloss brush so you have quite good control over the powder. It’s a…

Superga // Easy Like A Sunday Morning

Superga // Easy Like A Sunday Morning

Firstly can someone please leave a comment below with the correct way to say Superga? Everytime I say it it’s different and I feel like an idiot! Secondly, is this not the most perfect Sunday outfit? Ok, I know, pyjamas are the perfect Sunday outfit, agreed, but if you absolutely must leave the house then this is definitely the one! I actually had to do that dreaded trip to get the car the morning after the night before today, of course I went in my pyjamas naturally then whilst we were out, Mum thought it would be nice to go for a Costa. So I went to Costa in Pyjamas and Uggs, something I am not proud of. Jumper : Zara  // Jeans : H&M // Superga’s : Cloggs Footwear I love this outfit, I never really wear trainers apart from my Converse which to be fair I only wear for work and walking the dog! Can you call these trainers though?? Obviously I had to go for the copper ones, such a classic blogger move! I love them with this neutral look, they’re so comfy too it’s just such an easy outfit and let me tell you a secret, those aren’t jeans, they’re the dreaded jeggings! But, before you throw me to the wolves, I think it’s fine because they’re jean material and I’m wearing a long top so you can’t see they’re not actual jeans! Am I forgiven? This jumper is actually stolen from my Sister (you’ll probably recognise it from this post!) and she got it in the Zara sale so unfortunately it’s sold out but I’ve linked a pretty good alternative! I’ve also linked a few similar ones at the bottom of the post! Superga Sizing I’m actually gutted because they’re a size too big for me! And of course I wore them straight away without thinking about the fact that it’s not practical to have a pair of shoes that fall off your feet with every step. . ok maybe 2 sizes too big? This is the problem with varying EU sizes though! Does anyone else have this when they buy shoes and the EU sizes are different? Maybe it’s just my size 7/8 feet but different shop’s seem to have different opinions on what EU 41 is! So I would definitely recommend double checking the sizing before you order if you’re after a pair of these! Shop The Post I’ve just posted my first Youtube video and would love for you to watch it and let me know what you think! Make sure you subscribe if you like it and if you want to see more! 5 Ridiculously Easy SEO Tips

5 Ridiculously Easy SEO Tips

Welcome to my ridiculously easy SEO tips, so easy I thought perhaps everyone else already knows them? But it took me almost a year to figure these out and learn them, so I thought I would pass on the love to you guys! You can thank me later! Google Autocomplete This one I learnt from Fashion Influx recent post on SEO. Honestly I had never even contemplated that simply searching something on google could help, hence the blog title ridiculously easy SEO tips! So here’s the deal, you want to blog about a certain topic but aren’t sure what to call it or what your key word/s should be. Simply google the topic or the word that’s the most important and it should come up with suggestions of what other people have searched and what the most searched topics are relating to it. Basically telling you what people want and will look for, and essentially guaranteeing a searchable title/keyword. Make Use of Backlinks This is something I always knew was good but purely for people finding your blog through other sites. Turns out, there’s other benefits from getting good quality backlinks – I’m pretty sure leaving comments on other people blogs don’t count here but not 100%. So basically, as well as helping to get you ‘out there’ good quality back links tell Google that you’re an ‘authority’ in your field and essentially makes them more likely to bring you up in more general searches like ‘fashion blogger’ and ‘stylist’. Check Your Website Speed For my third ridiculously easy SEO tip, I’m going to tell you something that I myself should have already done . . talk about not taking your own advice! Google hates slow websites, or so I’ve heard. You can test your web speed here, and it should give you tips on what you can do to speed it up! Write More – I Said They Were Easy SEO Tips Your posts should ideally have at least 300 words, obviously I know not all blog posts do, mine don’t, but it really helps for SEO. Obviously don’t write 300 words of drivel, make sure it’s interesting and engaging, but seriously content is key. Write as much as you can whilst keeping it interesting! Link Back to Your Own Content I find it hard to do this and have to constantly remind myself but honestly one of the most easy SEO tips (whilst also being self serving) is to link back to your own content. So for example, this post is giving some helpful blogging tips so I could link back to this post about getting started with your blog or this post about how to build your instagram following and hopefully if you find this interesting you’ll want to read them! This doesn’t necessarily help with Google but it helps to lower your bounce rate which does help with google. There you have it my 5 ridiculously easy SEO tips, what did you think? Let me know if you find them helpful…

In The Style UK // Styling a Shirt Dress

In The Style UK // Styling a Shirt Dress

I feel like there’s so many different online shops that have popped up over the past few years, it’s hard to know which ones are good and which one’s to avoid. I’m not a huge one for online shopping – usually I only shop online if I know the shop from the high street, but I’ve been trying to reform my shopping habits! In The Style UK is one I’ve definitely made an allowance for, I’ve tried and tested it and can honestly say it’s safe guys! What’s more is that I have a 10% discount code for you beautiful people! Just enter the code SIN10 at the checkout! *Jacket : Shop Fashion Bazaar // *Dress : InTheStyle UK  (use code SIN10 for 10% off sitewide)// Boots : Next Sold Out  // Chocker : DIY – See how I did it here! // Bag : YesStyle I Love this dress from In The Style UK, my sister had a shirt dress that I used to borrow a lot so I figured it was time to get my own. This one’s got a super casual edge because of the drop hem which I feel makes it look a bit more casual for day wear! I paired it with these snake boots and my DIY choker, these boots are my favourite for wearing with skirts because they come up slightly higher which I find oh so flattering! I managed to nab my sisters Chloe dupe on my way out the door which I was pretty happy about, she is actually a hoarder and ordered it in all three colours available. Now I don’t know how I feel about dupes to buy one myself but I’m more than happy to borrow hers and you can’t exactly buy a Chloe bag in every colour available now can you!? I finished the look off with my favourite white jacket from Shop Fashion Bazaar, would you have believed that I actually didn’t know if I’d wear it much when I first got it and now it just seems to pop up in every outfit that I do!! Please excuse my awful liquid eyeliner in the above photo, it’s my Achilles heel! I just cannot do it, I envy the girls with ‘eyeliner on fleek’ with the hopes that one day I may be able to master the effortless flick! If you have any posts on it, tips, tricks or youtube tutorials I will be forever in your debt if you could leave me a comment below!! Shop the Post All photos taken by Kirk Schwarz. Chunky Knits : 20 under £20

Chunky Knits : 20 under £20

If there’s one thing I love more than jeans it’s a chunky knit, or any knitwear to be honest, but chunky knits have a special place in my heart. So in the name of research (well thats laughable!) i’ve compiled a fun list of 20 chunky knits under £20 –  can you say no to that price? I guess you can try! The Chunky Knits I’ve tried to be clever and make it so that you can click on the image and it’ll go straight to the webpage but clearly I’m not that clued up because it doesn’t work on them all so I’ve also listed them below! Beware, high levels of white, cream, beige and grey! This was honestly so much harder than I thought but I did it! I would honestly wear every single one of these as well! Let me know if you’d like me to do another post like this on something else! Another item of clothing? no 100 under £100’s though PLEASE!!
