Getting Dressed with Pinterest

Getting dressed, the easiest part of the day surely? No! If your like me you take great pleasure in getting dressed and agonizing over the fine details of your outfit! When you feel like you’ve worn every item in your wardrobe at least 10 times and need some inspiration on new ways to wear.. always turn to Pinterest! I use Pinterest as my personal style guide, I have a board that I pin to when inspiration strikes with outfit ideas. I tend to find outfits that I like but that also incorporate the clothes I already own or clothes that have a likeness to mine! It’s a great way of looking at your wardrobe in a new light and helps you to mix things up a bit! My boyfriend is a particular fan of this because it means I can be ready so much quicker and my ‘floordrobe’ is no more! No more trying on everything you own on a daily basis.. hurrah! Don’t forget to add me on Pinterest so we can share outfit ideas! Here’s an example of two items of clothing I own and an outfit I’ve pinned to pair them together in the future.. And here’s one I did earlier!   Sinead x

Leather Biker Jacket

Leather Biker Jacket

If there’s one thing that every wardrobe needs it’s a leather biker jacket. The holy grail of all things stylish and the perfect spring layer, what’s not to love about it? I’ve had this jacket for years and in my opinion the older the better! The battered look a leather jacket takes on over the years is something money can’t buy. This beauty if from Warehouse, I actually got it in the sale for a mere £100 and couldn’t believe my luck when it arrived all buttery soft and zips galore! The thing about a leather jacket is that you can wear it day or night, summer or winter.. it’s basically your best friend and can make any thing look good, from jeans and a jumper to a little summer dress! I’ve dressed it down here with my H&M checked flannel shirt ( seriously comfortable) layered over yet another of my many grey t shirt’s! I’ve also paired it with my favourite Topshop ripped jeans and my new Next wedges ~ the one’s I won at the Next party! woo hoo! How amazing are they? There’s only one thing better than new shoes ~ free new shoes!!   Sinead x

Grey. On Grey. On Grey

Grey. On Grey. On Grey

So after my post last week on spring style inspiration I was inspired to recreate some of the tonal looks. I love the colour grey and most of my item’s of clothing are grey so it’s the perfect colour to try this look with! If I hadn’t seen the pictures on pinterest I wouldn’t have thought about putting together an entire outfit made up of one colour (usually I would try to avoid this) but I think it works really well, especially with the addition of some black accessories! I think this is definitely something I will be using again in the future, I also have a lot of white and a new denim shirt from H&M that’s crying out for a double denim look! The grey works so well because the shades are really similar but just different enough, the different textures sit really nicely together. My t shirt is actually mens, I always favour mens t shirts because they fit just how I want. The fabric is softer and they’re made to hang rather than hug! This ones from Topman yonks ago! These jeans are actually my worst nightmare.. jeggings.. but you can’t tell that they aren’t jeans unless you can see the waistband as they’re made of jean material and not that super stretchy fabric! I got them from H&M for just £12.99 which I couldn’t say no to, I’ve paired them with my bargain of the century mules from Primark for £14.00.. drop what your doing right now and go and get yourself some! Coat: Topshop Old ( Similar Here) | T Shirt: Topman Old (Similar Here) | Jeggings: H&M | Mules: Primark (Similar Here) | Watch: Larsson & Jennings | Hat: H&M  From now on I will be posting on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The Relaxed Shirt

The Relaxed Shirt

I brought this shirt from H&M a couple of weeks ago and it’s so easy to wear that I’ve already had so much wear out of it! I was inspired by a shirt I saw some of my favourite bloggers wearing a few months back that was a similar shape but with red and blue stripes, so I’d been keeping an eye out for something like this and thought I’d hit the jackpot when I saw this beauty! It’s actually called ‘Relaxed Shirt’ which I think sum’s it up perfectly! It’s so easy to wear and the sort of thing you can just throw on with a pair of jeans, I’ve finished the look off with my beige suede jacket that I’ve been dying to wear since winter!! Can we just talk about the weather for a minute?! I love this look with heels for casual drinks or dinner as well. The slightly longer length of it means I’ll also be wearing it in the summer as a lightweight jacket – multi functional! Shirt: H&M | Jacket: Old | Jeans: Topshop | Bag: Zara | Boots: H&M Sinead x
