    Denim Skirt

I hope you’ve all had a lovely bank holiday! I always think the first bank holiday in May officially kicks off summer so from here on out, I don’t care if its sunshine or raining, I’ll be wearing sandals or skirts or both! Bearing this in mind I thought I would do this post on one of this season’s must haves, the denim skirt. There’s lots of different styles around, I was in the process of deciding which one to purchase when I set eyes on this absolute bargain from the one and only Primark! At £10 it’s easily mistaken with the Topshop and River Island styles! As it’s one of the most popular items of this season, I thought I would do a post on how versatile it is. When a piece of clothing is as versatile as this it’s practically an investment! I’ve put together a few looks including a smart-ish look, a casual look and a night out look! Shirt: H&M | Watch: Asos | Boots: H&M | Skirt: Primark T Shirt: Topshop | Necklace: Asos | Sandals: Topshop | Hat: H&M Old | Skirt: Primark Jacket: Asos | Top: Missguided | Mules: Primark| Skirt : Primark My favourite look has to be with the Missguided crop top, I hadn’t really considered wearing it out in the evening until I did this post. I think it looks really nice against the white crop and I’m sure you’ve already noticed how much I love this jacket! Here’s a list of some of the denim skirts on the high street, mine is from Primark at £10. Topshop – £28.00 | Zara – £29.99 | Miss Selfridge – £25.00 | Asos – £28.00 | Boohoo – £15.00 | River Island – £35.00

    Highlight Reel

    Highlight Reel

I love this quote, we all constantly compare ourselves with others picking out their best features and comparing them to our own worst. We beat ourselves up about the silliest things and are 1000x harsher on ourselves than we would ever dream of being on someone else! Wouldn’t it be great if we could all see ourselves through someone else’s eyes, our very own highlight reel? Try this, write down the top 5 things you hate about yourself, but write them in the third person. Then stand in front of a mirror and read out what you’ve written, would you ever even dream of saying those things to someone else?! Treat yourself with the same respect you would others! We would never say such hurtful things to someone else so why do we constantly do it to ourselves?! From now on I am going to only see my highlight reel and if I do criticize myself, I’ll balance it out with a compliment on something I love about myself! Sinead x

    Getting Dressed with Pinterest

    Getting Dressed with Pinterest

Getting dressed, the easiest part of the day surely? No! If your like me you take great pleasure in getting dressed and agonizing over the fine details of your outfit! When you feel like you’ve worn every item in your wardrobe at least 10 times and need some inspiration on new ways to wear.. always turn to Pinterest! I use Pinterest as my personal style guide, I have a board that I pin to when inspiration strikes with outfit ideas. I tend to find outfits that I like but that also incorporate the clothes I already own or clothes that have a likeness to mine! It’s a great way of looking at your wardrobe in a new light and helps you to mix things up a bit! My boyfriend is a particular fan of this because it means I can be ready so much quicker and my ‘floordrobe’ is no more! No more trying on everything you own on a daily basis.. hurrah! Don’t forget to add me on Pinterest so we can share outfit ideas! Here’s an example of two items of clothing I own and an outfit I’ve pinned to pair them together in the future.. And here’s one I did earlier!   Sinead x

    Leather Biker Jacket

    Leather Biker Jacket

If there’s one thing that every wardrobe needs it’s a leather biker jacket. The holy grail of all things stylish and the perfect spring layer, what’s not to love about it? I’ve had this jacket for years and in my opinion the older the better! The battered look a leather jacket takes on over the years is something money can’t buy. This beauty if from Warehouse, I actually got it in the sale for a mere £100 and couldn’t believe my luck when it arrived all buttery soft and zips galore! The thing about a leather jacket is that you can wear it day or night, summer or winter.. it’s basically your best friend and can make any thing look good, from jeans and a jumper to a little summer dress! I’ve dressed it down here with my H&M checked flannel shirt ( seriously comfortable) layered over yet another of my many grey t shirt’s! I’ve also paired it with my favourite Topshop ripped jeans and my new Next wedges ~ the one’s I won at the Next party! woo hoo! How amazing are they? There’s only one thing better than new shoes ~ free new shoes!!   Sinead x

    Payday Treat

    Payday Treat

So, I don’t know about you but I think after a hard month’s slog the least you can do for yourself is indulge in a little retail therapy, think of it as a payday treat from you to you! Personally, by the time my bank account is refilled I already have a list as long as my arm of things I need to buy! Don’t get me wrong I shop all month too, but there’s nothing like some guilt free shopping when you can actually afford it and don’t have to justify why you need a suede a line skirt ( you definitely do). Below I’ve put together some of the things I actually do need, I promise!!                                     Those Russel & Bromley loafers are going to be mine one day, I swear to you! In the mean time I’ll settle for the rest of it.. and doesn’t everyone need some marble jewellery in their lives?!
